07 - 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour.
08 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
09 - A pinch of salt (1/4 tsp).
10 - 1 cup of powdered sugar.
11 - Melted unsalted butter (1/4 cup) for dipping.

01 - Beat the butter with shortening until smooth and fluffy.
02 - Blend in the egg, buttermilk, vinegar, vanilla, and red food coloring on low until everything's mixed well.
03 - In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa, salt, and powdered sugar together.
04 - Slowly add the dry mix to the wet ingredients until fully blended. Pop the dough in the fridge for an hour.
05 - Drop tablespoon-sized balls onto sheets about 2 inches apart. Cook at 350°F for 12-14 minutes.
06 - While still warm, dunk cookies in the melted butter, then cover with powdered sugar. Let them cool completely before adding a second coating of sugar.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Handle the chilled dough fast so cookies don't spread too much.
02 - Keep them fresh by storing between sheets of parchment in a sealed container.
