# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 pound ground beef (80/20 mix)
02 - 1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
03 - 1 large egg, beaten
04 - 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
05 - 1 teaspoon tangy Worcestershire sauce
06 - 1 teaspoon finely ground garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon sweet onion powder
08 - 1/2 teaspoon smoky paprika
09 - 1/2 teaspoon regular salt
10 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Gravy

11 - 2 tablespoons plain butter, unsalted
12 - 1 medium onion, cut into thin slices
13 - 2 tablespoons regular flour
14 - 2 cups rich beef broth
15 - 1 tablespoon dark Worcestershire sauce
16 - 1 teaspoon smooth Dijon mustard
17 - Black pepper and salt as needed
18 - 1/4 teaspoon fragrant dried thyme
19 - Chopped fresh parsley leaves for topping

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Combine beef with breadcrumbs, egg and spices without overworking. Press into 4 oval-shaped patties
02 - Cook each patty for about 3-4 minutes each side until nicely browned. Remove and set on plate
03 - Drop butter in pan and slowly cook sliced onions for 8-10 minutes until soft and golden brown
04 - Sprinkle flour over onions, then slowly pour in broth while whisking. Add flavorings and cook till thick
05 - Put patties back in the sauce, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until meat reaches 160°F
