Easy Slow Cooker Chicken (Printable Format)

# Needed Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound chicken, diced.
02 - 1 green pepper, chopped.
03 - 1 spoon dried oregano flakes.
04 - 1 cup white rice.
05 - 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into slices.
06 - 2 bay leaves.
07 - Salt and black pepper.
08 - 3 garlic cloves, minced.
09 - 3 celery stalks, sliced up.
10 - 1 big can chopped tomatoes.
11 - 1 white onion, diced.
12 - 1 pound jumbo shrimp, with shell on.
13 - Fresh parsley for garnishing.
14 - 2 spoons Creole seasoning mix.

# Preparation Steps:

01 - In the slow cooker, toss in everything except the rice and shrimp. Stir to combine.
02 - Cook for 3 hours on high or let it go 4-5 hours on low, till veggies are soft.
03 - Cut along the shrimp shells and drop them in the pot. Let cook another 30-45 minutes on high.
04 - Prepare the rice in a different pot during the last stretch of cooking.
05 - Get rid of the bay leaves. Adjust with salt and black pepper.
06 - Sprinkle parsley on top. You can serve over the rice or mix the rice right into the dish.
07 - Store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freezing isn't recommended.

02 - Freezing this dish messes up the shrimp texture.
