Zesty Bok Choy (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 1 lb baby bok choy (or swap with regular bok choy, cabbage, yu choy sum, baby Chinese broccoli)
02 - 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil such as vegetable oil
03 - 8 cloves garlic, chopped finely
04 - 1/3 cup water

→ Hot Sauce

05 - 1 1/2 tbsp chili crisp or hot chili oil
06 - 1 tbsp regular soy sauce (avoid low-sodium kind)
07 - 1/2 tbsp Shaoxing cooking wine (chicken broth or dry sherry works too)
08 - 1 tsp sesame oil (toasted)
09 - 1/4 tsp sugar

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Split the baby bok choy down the middle, wash well under cool running water, then shake dry or let drain in a colander.
02 - Combine all hot sauce ingredients in a small bowl and put aside until needed.
03 - Heat your neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat, add chopped garlic and cook for about 10 seconds until it gets fragrant.
04 - Crank up the heat to medium-high. Add bok choy and water, then stir while cooking for 2-4 minutes until the greens wilt slightly.
05 - Drizzle your sauce over the greens, give everything a good stir, turn off the stove, and serve right away!

# Additional Tips:

01 - You can swap in any kind of Asian greens if you don't have bok choy.
02 - If you don't use alcohol, just use chicken broth instead of the Shaoxing wine.
03 - Adjust the hot chili oil amount to match how spicy you like your food!
