Green Beans With Cheese (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - Fresh green beans with ends cut off (500g/1 lb).
02 - Olive oil, divided (2 tablespoons).
03 - Minced garlic cloves (2).
04 - Table salt (1/2 teaspoon).
05 - Ground pepper (1/2 teaspoon).
06 - Crunchy panko crumbs (1/3 cup).
07 - Shredded parmesan cheese (1/3 cup).

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Get your oven going at 220C/425F or turn broiler to high with the rack about 30cm/12 inches down from the top.
02 - Dump beans onto the tray, splash with 1 tablespoon oil, add garlic, salt and pepper. Mix everything together.
03 - Spread the beans in neat rows on your tray, making sure they're snug against each other.
04 - Scatter breadcrumbs over beans followed by parmesan. Finish with a drizzle of your leftover oil.
05 - Pop in oven for 15 minutes or under broiler for 8 minutes until the cheese turns golden brown.
06 - Lift carefully with a spatula onto your serving plate and enjoy right away.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Pre-packaged grated parmesan works fine, but if using fresh, just double up.
02 - Frozen green beans are okay too, just thaw and pat them dry first.
03 - They'll taste best when eaten right away while still crunchy.
