Stir together the confectioners' sugar, 5 tbsp milk, corn syrup and vanilla until it's all smooth

Slowly pour in milk until you see a stream that stays visible for 3-4 seconds. Take out a third for your borders

Add extra milk to your leftover icing until it runs back easily when drizzled into the bowl

Drop in food coloring to both batches if you want some pretty hues

Draw the edges first, let them set a bit, then fill the middle. Push icing into corners with a toothpick
