Strawberry Cookies Glaze (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Base Layer

01 - 1 cup softened butter (unsalted)
02 - ½ cup powdered sugar
03 - 2¼ cups all-purpose flour (leveled, spooned)
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - ¼ teaspoon salt

→ Strawberry Parts

06 - 2 tablespoons finely ground freeze-dried strawberries
07 - ¼ cup strawberry puree (for topping)
08 - 1 cup powdered sugar (for topping)

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Use a food processor to turn freeze-dried strawberries into fine powder.
02 - Beat the butter with vanilla for 2 minutes. Add powdered sugar and mix for another 2 minutes until it's light and fluffy.
03 - Add salt and flour to the dough, then mix in the strawberry powder. The dough will feel a little crumbly.
04 - Shape the dough into a ball. Roll it flat between two sheets of floured parchment paper to ¼-inch thick, then refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 30 minutes.
05 - Use cutters to make shapes, keeping cookies 1 inch apart on the baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Roll scraps again and chill if needed.
06 - Blend fresh strawberries until smooth. Stir the puree with powdered sugar until mixed well.
07 - Once the cookies are cool, dip them in glaze. Sprinkle crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top if you'd like, and let them set on a rack.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Number of cookies depends on the cutter's size.
02 - Measure strawberry powder only after grinding.
03 - Always use proper flour measuring: spoon and level instead of packing it.
04 - Glaze only completely cooled cookies to avoid a mess.
