05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1 tablespoon water

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
02 - Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a flat surface and cut it into 6 equal squares or rectangles. Arrange spaced apart on the lined baking sheet.
03 - In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Transfer the filling to a piping bag and cut the tip about 3/4 inch wide.
04 - Pipe a line of the cream cheese mixture down the center of each pastry piece, leaving about 1/2 inch border on all sides.
05 - Whisk the egg and water in a small bowl. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the edges of each pastry piece for a golden finish.
