Ranch Chicken Bacon Pasta (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

β†’ Base

01 - 8 slices of bacon, diced
02 - 1.5 pounds of chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
03 - 10 ounces of penne pasta

β†’ Sauce

04 - 1 packet of dried ranch seasoning
05 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
06 - 4 ounces of cream cheese
07 - 2 cups of chicken broth
08 - 1 cup of sour cream

β†’ Aromatics & Seasonings

09 - 3 minced garlic cloves
10 - Chopped green onions for topping
11 - 1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
12 - 2 teaspoons of dried parsley
13 - 1 teaspoon of black pepper
14 - 1 teaspoon of salt

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Boil the penne until it’s just tender, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
02 - Fry the bacon bits until crispy, keep 1 tablespoon of bacon grease, and put bacon aside.
03 - Brown the chicken in bacon grease with salt and black pepper. Toss in onions until they're soft, then add garlic for a quick minute.
04 - Mix broth, sour cream, ranch mix, cream cheese, seasonings, and cooked bacon. Heat gently until bubbling, then lower the temperature.
05 - Mix in the cheddar cheese and cooked pasta. Simmer a few minutes. Top with green onions to serve.

01 - You can prepare it ahead of time and reheat later.
02 - Add extra broth if you want it less thick.
