# Needed Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 pound store-bought pizza dough or homemade dough
02 - All-purpose flour, for dusting

→ Filling

03 - 1 pound ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
04 - 1 large onion, thinly sliced
05 - 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
06 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
07 - 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
08 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
09 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
10 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
11 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
12 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Assembly

13 - 1 large egg
14 - 1 tablespoon water
15 - Marinara sauce, for serving

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, green bell pepper, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are soft and caramelized, about 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer vegetables to a plate and set aside.
02 - Return the skillet to high heat and add the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add sliced steak in a single layer and sear for 2 to 3 minutes until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using. Remove from heat.
03 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the pizza dough into a 12 by 16-inch rectangle.
04 - Evenly sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the rolled-out dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Top with the cooked steak and vegetable mixture, distributing evenly.
05 - Starting at one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the ends and seams to seal firmly.
06 - Place the stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Whisk the egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush over the top of the dough. Using a sharp knife, cut 3 to 4 slits across the top to allow steam to escape.
07 - Transfer to the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
08 - Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Slice and serve warm with marinara sauce on the side.

# Supplementary Details:

01 - For best results, use thinly sliced, high quality steak and ensure your dough is at room temperature before rolling.
