Minty Melt Cookies (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 cup room temperature butter
02 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
03 - 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
04 - 1 1/4 cups flour
05 - 1/2 cup cornstarch
06 - 2 tablespoons butter for topping
07 - 2 tablespoons milk
08 - 1/4 teaspoon mint extract for topping
09 - Red coloring drops if wanted
10 - 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar for topping
11 - 1/2 cup smashed mint candy pieces

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Whip butter with sugar till airy, about 3-4 minutes. Mix in the mint flavor.
02 - Mix flour with cornstarch, then slowly add to the butter mix while beating.
03 - Wrap and stick in fridge for 30 minutes till it's firm.
04 - Turn your oven on to 350°F.
05 - Roll small 1-inch balls and put them 2 inches from each other. Cook for 9-11 minutes till bottoms turn slightly brown.
06 - Move to cooling racks and wait till they're totally cool.
07 - Mix butter, milk, mint flavor and any coloring you want. Stir in sugar till it's smooth.
08 - Spread topping on cookies and scatter crushed mint candy on top.
