Use paper towels to dry off the chicken wings completely.

Stir together garlic powder, onion powder, and starch in a bowl. Cover the wings thoroughly with the mix.

Set the air fryer to 400°F. Cook wings in one layer for 20 minutes, flipping them over halfway.

With about 3 minutes left on the wings, mix the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Stir while letting it heat on medium until bubbling.

Take the wings out of the fryer and toss them in the hot sauce to coat them entirely.
