Sweet Spicy Glazed Wings (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Chicken and Dry Rub

01 - 1 tsp garlic powder
02 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
03 - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
04 - 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into flats and drumsticks
05 - 1 tsp kosher salt

→ Sweet Heat Sauce

06 - 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (leave it out if you prefer less heat)
07 - 1/4 cup honey (make sure it’s the real deal)
08 - 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
09 - 1 tbsp soy sauce
10 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
11 - 1/4 cup of your favorite hot sauce

→ Toppings

12 - Finely chopped fresh cilantro
13 - Thinly sliced green onions
14 - Toasted sesame seeds

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Dry the wings completely using paper towels to remove all moisture (essential for crispiness we all love). Then, toss in a bowl with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to coat them evenly.
02 - Decide how you’d like to cook your wings. Baking method: Arrange them on a wire rack over a baking tray lined with foil and bake at 400°F for 40-45 minutes. Don’t forget to turn them halfway through! Frying method: Heat oil to 375°F, then fry in small batches for about 8-10 minutes until crunchy and golden.
03 - While waiting, grab a saucepan and combine honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne (if using). Warm over medium heat, stirring now and then, until it bubbles and starts to thicken a little, which takes 3-5 minutes.
04 - Mix the crispy wings with the sweet-spicy glaze until each piece is fully covered. Top with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro for a finishing touch.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Making sure the wings are dry is key for that crunchy texture.
02 - Feel free to prepare the sauce ahead; just reheat when you're ready!
03 - Dial down or increase the hot sauce or cayenne for your preferred spice level.
