01 -
In a mixing bowl, blend warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes until the yeast appears foamy.
02 -
Incorporate all-purpose flour and salt into the yeast mixture. Mix until a sticky dough forms. Knead with a stand mixer for 5–6 minutes or by hand for 8–10 minutes until dough becomes smooth and elastic.
03 -
Coat the dough lightly with olive oil, cover, and let rise in a warm environment for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in volume.
04 -
Grease a 9×13-inch pan with olive oil. In a small saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil with minced garlic over medium-low heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
05 -
Transfer dough to the prepared pan. Gently press and stretch toward the corners. If dough resists, allow it to rest 10 minutes, then finish stretching. Cover and let rise another 30–45 minutes until puffy.
06 -
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Dimple the surface of the dough with your fingertips. Brush evenly with prepared garlic oil. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, herbs, and flaky sea salt. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
07 -
Let cool in the pan for 5–10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, slice, and serve warm.
