Fried Mac Bites (Printable Format)

Cheesy bacon-filled mac squares coated in panko and fried to crunchy perfection. Great for parties or an anytime snack.

# Needed Ingredients:

01 - 125g plain flour.
02 - 284g bacon (14 slices).
03 - 180g seasoned breadcrumbs (panko).
04 - 30g butter or reserved bacon grease.
05 - 2 eggs, whisked.
06 - 270ml milk.
07 - 227g shredded sharp cheddar.
08 - 227g shredded Monterey Jack.
09 - 227g macaroni pasta (elbows).
10 - Salt, cayenne, nutmeg, garlic powder, black pepper.
11 - Salt, pepper, and onion powder.
12 - Oil for frying.

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Fry the bacon until crunchy, keep 2 tablespoons of the fat, then chop into pieces.
02 - Boil pasta for 7 minutes. Make a roux with flour and grease, pour in milk and seasonings, stir in cheeses. Add pasta and bacon, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
03 - Slice into 36 pieces, toss in flour, dip into eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs. Freeze until needed.
04 - Heat oil to 360-370°F, fry in small groups until golden for about 4-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve while warm.
