# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 big sweet onion (like Vidalia)
02 - 1 tsp salt
03 - 1 tsp garlic powder
04 - 1 cup plain flour
05 - 1 tsp onion powder
06 - 1 tsp paprika
07 - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
08 - 1 tbsp spicy hot sauce
09 - 1/2 cup buttermilk
10 - 2 eggs, large
11 - Oil spray (olive preferred)

→ Dipping Sauce

12 - 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter
13 - 1/2 cup mayo
14 - 1/4 tsp garlic powder
15 - 1/4 cup ketchup
16 - 1/4 tsp onion powder
17 - 1 tbsp mirin or plain water

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Make 8-12 cuts from the top down, stopping shy of the root. Gently spread layers to open.
02 - Cover with flour mix, dip in egg blend, then do another round of flour coating.
03 - Cook in the air fryer at 375°F for 12-15 mins, using oil spray while cooking.
04 - Stir dipping sauce ingredients until creamy. Pair with onion once it’s cooled a bit.
