Creamy One Pot Chicken (Printable Format)

A comforting one-pot dish with juicy chicken, penne pasta, and a velvety sun-dried tomato parmesan sauce. Homemade and totally simple.

# Needed Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb chicken breasts, cut thin.
02 - 1/4 cup regular flour.
03 - 2 tbsp butter.
04 - 2 tbsp olive oil.
05 - 4 minced garlic cloves.
06 - 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes.
07 - 2 cups chicken broth, reduced-sodium.
08 - 1 cup thick heavy cream.
09 - 1/4 cup drained sun-dried tomatoes in strips.
10 - 1/2 tsp Italian herbs mix.
11 - 8 oz uncooked penne pasta.
12 - 1 cup freshly shredded parmesan.
13 - Fresh basil leaves.
14 - Coarse salt.
15 - Black pepper, freshly ground.

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Dry the chicken with paper towels, season with pepper and salt, then coat with flour. Fry in olive oil on medium-high until browned. Set it aside.
02 - In the same pan, toss in butter, garlic, and red pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Pour in broth, cream, tomatoes, and seasonings. Scrape up any bits stuck to the bottom and stir to combine.
03 - Drop the pasta into the pan and place chicken on top. Cover, then cook over medium-low for around 20 minutes, until pasta softens and chicken hits 165°F.
04 - Take out the chicken to rest. Stir basil and parmesan into the sauce. Slice the chicken and toss it back with the pasta. Serve right away.
