01 -
Warm up the butter in a small pot over medium heat until it’s fully melted and just starts to bubble.
02 -
Toss in the flour and mix it continuously for a couple of minutes. You’re aiming for a thick mixture, but make sure it doesn’t brown.
03 -
Pour the milk into the pot gradually, constantly whisking. Keep stirring until everything thickens up and starts to bubble, about 3-5 minutes.
04 -
Mix in the garlic, a pinch of salt, and a bit of black pepper. Stir it all together until blended smoothly.
05 -
Add in the Parmesan cheese and stir until it’s melted into the sauce. Once that's done, take it off the heat and set it aside to cool down.
06 -
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Roll the pizza dough into shape, then brush the top lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle on the Italian herbs.
07 -
Spread a nice even coat of the garlic sauce over the pizza dough. Top it with the mozzarella and that extra Parmesan cheese for a gooey, cheesy finish.
08 -
Pop the pizza into the hot oven and bake it for 10-12 minutes. You’re looking for bubbly cheese with browned spots.
09 -
Take the pizza out and sprinkle the fresh basil ribbons over the top. Serve and enjoy it while it’s still warm!
