Sugar Bacon Wrapped Smokies (Printable Version)

01 - Mini cocktail sausages, one 16 oz pack
02 - Bacon strips, 1 pound, sliced into thirds
03 - Dark brown sugar, 3/4 cup, packed down
04 - Cracked black pepper, to your liking

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F. Spray a baking tray with cooking spray or cover it with foil to make cleaning up easier.
02 - Use paper towels to dry the sausages, then fold a bacon piece around each one. Stick a toothpick through to hold it together.
03 - Dump the brown sugar into a big plastic bag. Toss in a handful of your bacon-wrapped sausages and shake them around until they're coated. Lay them on your tray.
04 - Sprinkle some cracked black pepper over your sugar-coated bundles.
05 - Pop them in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the bacon turns golden brown. Want them extra crispy? Switch to broil for a minute or two at the end.
