Holiday Soft Butter Cookies (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 8 ounces softened full-fat cream cheese.
02 - 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter.
03 - 1 large egg.
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
05 - 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix.
06 - 1/2 cup festive sprinkles.
07 - 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar.

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Get your oven hot at 350°F. Put parchment paper on two cookie sheets.
02 - Whip the cream cheese, butter, egg, and vanilla together with your mixer until it's creamy.
03 - Add the cake mix and stir until you get a thick dough. Drop in sprinkles and mix gently so they don't bleed colors.
04 - Pop the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so it's not too sticky to work with.
05 - Grab bits of dough and roll into 1½-inch balls, then roll in the sugar. Set them 2 inches apart on your sheets.
06 - Cook for 10-12 minutes until the edges firm up but middles stay soft. Let them cool on the pan before moving.

# Additional Tips:

01 - They'll stay good on the counter for up to 3 days.
02 - You can stick them in the freezer for up to 3 months.
03 - Don't swap for low-fat cream cheese or they won't turn out right.
