01 - 2–3 medium-sized russet or Yukon gold potatoes (around 3 pounds).

04 - A heaping tablespoon of flavored salt.

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Run potatoes under cool water to clean. Peel the skin off, then chop into chunky sections.
02 - Fill a big pot with water and set it to boil. Toss in your potato pieces. Cook for about 20 minutes, then strain out the water.
03 - Put the drained potatoes into a bowl for mixing. Smash until they're smooth with no lumps.
04 - Stir in the butter, salt, and cream. Mix gently until it all blends well. If you’d like, pour a little melted butter over the top before serving.
