02 - 1 cup finely shredded cabbage

05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
08 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil
09 - 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Ground black pepper, to taste

12 - 10 to 12 egg roll wrappers
13 - Water for sealing wrappers
14 - Vegetable oil or canola oil for frying

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until aromatic. Add ground meat or alternative protein and cook, breaking up into small pieces, until well browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Incorporate shredded cabbage, carrots, and green onions; cook for 2 to 3 minutes until vegetables are tender but still crisp. Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool to room temperature.
02 - Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat work surface with one corner facing you. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of cooled filling onto the center. Fold the bottom corner up and over the filling, then fold in both side corners. Roll tightly toward the remaining corner and brush the edge with water to seal securely.
03 - Preheat vegetable oil or canola oil in a large pan or deep fryer to 350°F. Fry the egg rolls, a few at a time, until crisp and golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
